Today I read a email from the twin sister about her twin dying Friday night in Hospice of Dayton. Both of the twins were my friends, it is going to be really hard to see Sharon without Sandy. I talked to Sharon today and she sounded very tried and flat, she told me more of the plans for the viewing and funeral. I had already been busily ordering flowers from Lin and I and the Dayton Miniature Society club. I also had to send a email to all the club members who many may have already heard. That is 2 folks in the last month who I knew that have died suddenly from cancer. Sandy had it before but they she was okay, oops, they made a huge mistake. Now my oldest daughter best from junior high has cancer and it looks really bad for her; she has 4 young children.
I just am so sadden all of these events, knowing there is nothing I or anyone else could do for them.
I am going to the viewing tomorrow evening and the Mass of Burial Wednesday morning for Sandy. Not sure what to say to Sharon and the family of Sandy, most of the placates seem so lame and useless. I think being there is the best thing I can do for her, if she needs a shoulder to cry on or someone to hug.

Tami,
ReplyDeleteI am sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. Being strong for her sister is a truly great way you honor her memory.
